Keep score for rummy played with real cards. Choose the game, add the players, then after each deal mark the winner, the drops and any wrong show and enter the losers’ points. The calculator applies the cap, keeps the running totals and tells you when a pool player is out. It uses the same scoring as our free Points Rummy game.

How to use the calculator
The caps the calculator applies (80, or 120 for 21 Card) and the pool limits are explained in maximum points in rummy. To count a hand by hand, see how to count points.
- Pick the game: Points Rummy, Pool Rummy 101, Pool Rummy 201, Deals Rummy or 21 Card Rummy, and the number of players (2 to 6). Tap a name to change it.
- After each deal, mark one player as Won. For everyone else choose Lost and type their count, or First drop, Middle drop or Wrong show, which fill in the right points for that game.
- Not sure of a count? Tap Count cards, tap the cards that are not in a valid group (or every card if the player has no pure sequence) and the counter adds them up for you, with jokers at 0.
- Tap Add to score sheet. The sheet shows every deal and the totals. Undo last deal fixes a mistake.
The score sheet is saved on this phone, so you can lock the screen between deals.
The scoring rules it uses
| Game | Most a hand counts | First drop | Middle drop | Wrong show | Score sheet |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points Rummy | 80 | 20 | 40 | 80 | Net points: the winner collects what the others lose |
| Pool Rummy 101 | 80 | 20 | 40 | 80 | Running totals: reach 101 and you are out |
| Pool Rummy 201 | 80 | 25 | 50 | 80 | Running totals: reach 201 and you are out |
| Deals Rummy | 80 | no drop | no drop | 80 | Chips: each player starts with 80 chips per player at the table, and the winner of a deal takes the losers’ points |
| 21 Card Rummy | 120 | 30 | 70 | 120 | Net points |
Card values in the 13-card games: Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 count 10 each, other cards count their number, and jokers count 0. A player with no pure sequence counts all 13 cards. A player with a pure sequence but no second sequence counts everything except the pure sequence. A player with both counts only the cards that are not in a valid group. Some home games score the Ace as 1 or charge 10 for a first drop; Pagat describes these local rules. This calculator follows the common modern rules used in our games.
The pool games show how many first drops each player can still afford before going out. In 21 Card Rummy, value cards and the marriage bonus are settled separately and are not added here. Our 21 Card Rummy page explains them.
A worked example
Points Rummy, four players, 3s wild. Asha declares correctly. Ravi holds 4♥ 5♥ 6♥ (pure sequence), 9♠ 10♠ 3♦ (a sequence using the wild 3), 8♣ 8♦ 8♠ (a set) and four loose cards, K♠ Q♦ 7♣ 2♥: 10 + 10 + 7 + 2 = 29. Imran took a first drop: 20. Meena had no pure sequence, so all her cards count. Her raw total was 94, which is capped at 80. Asha collects 29 + 20 + 80 = 129 points, and the sheet shows Asha +129, Ravi −29, Imran −20, Meena −80.

FAQ
How do you calculate points in 13-card rummy?
Add up the cards that are not in a valid set or sequence: Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10 count 10 each, 2 to 9 count their number and jokers count 0. Without a pure sequence every card counts. The total is capped at 80.
How many points is a wrong show?
80 in Points, Pool and Deals Rummy, and 120 in 21 Card Rummy. The calculator fills this in when you choose Wrong show.
When is a player out in Pool Rummy 101?
When their total reaches 101 or more. In Pool 201 it is 201. Some groups allow a player to rejoin; this calculator does not, so agree the house rule before you start.
Why does the calculator give 80 when I entered 94?
Because 80 is the most a losing 13-card hand can cost. The full count is shown next to the capped one so you can check.
Can I use the calculator for Ace = 1 or 10-point drops?
Not as a setting. Enter the points you agreed by hand with Lost instead of the drop buttons.
